An urban fantasy book by a new author to me. Twice Bitten looked and sounded good to me, so I couldn’t wait to dive into it.
Packed with all the types of supernatural creatures I love and unique characters as well. I was in book heaven reading this! Alex is a witch who wants to pull espresso shots and keep her magic a secret. The problem is, trouble is coming, and she gets caught between the Vampire Prime and the Shifter King. Culminating in her being attacked by both. Her magic saves her, but she begins feeling very interested in people’s necks AND getting twitchy on a full moon. Could she be both Vampire and werewolf?
I found this a unique and interesting story. I liked Alex and felt for her as both shifter king and prime vampire want her, and it is about to become rather dangerous! She has no clue whom to trust as her quiet coffee shop life implodes. I couldn’t stop thinking about her predicament, and it had me picking up the book at every opportunity!
I loved every minute I spent reading this book! The pages flew by until I had none left to turn. The intrigue and mystery of the story keep the tempo fast. The chemistry is there and the author is keeping us on tenterhooks with that one!
