My Review
My first Evie Jacobs book, and one that drew me in with the blurb. I knew I had to keep an open mind while reading. I didn’t realise it was part of a series, but I had no trouble reading it as a standalone.
Dangerous Decisions is a romantic suspense story in which we follow Angie Liu, a CIA agent who has disobeyed orders by digging into the death of an informant. She finds it leads her to Jamaica. To get there without anyone knowing she has to involve her dead informants son, Nate Hughes. She doesn’t just have that issue, though. No, she also ran out on him after a one night stand.
Nate had made his mind up. His dad was nothing but a drug smuggler. Then his murder makes him double take. Angie turning up after doing a runner from him is a surprise, and one he will be keeping an eye on!
It is a romantic suspense story that fulfilled all my expectations. The suspense was built well, as I found myself so intrigued with Angie’s investigation. The fact she was putting her job on the line cranked it up even more. The chemistry between Angie and Nate crackled between them from the first moment.
It was so well paced and with characters that had my heart so quickly! The fact they worked so well together, too, just kept me rooting for them all the way! I am planning to read the other book at some point. Another author to keep an eye on!
