Jane Linfoot – A Winter Warmer at the Little Cornish Kitchen @rararesources @janelinfoot @OneMoreChapter_ #AWinterWarmerAtTheLittleCornishKitchen #SharonBTB

I’m thrilled to be a part of the blog tour for A Winter Warmer at the Little Cornish Kitchen by Jane Linfoot. Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources and One More Chapter for my invitation and the ARC to write my honest and unbiased review.

St Aidan: a cosy Cornish village where friendships are made for life and it’s always cocktail hour somewhere…

A clean slate in the world’s cosiest cottage by the sea…

When Gwen Starkey and her best friend, Ella Simpson, arrive in St Aidan to take on a cottage renovation, it’s the fresh start they both so desperately need. But when their new adventure begins with them unintentionally breaking into their neighbour, Ollie Lancaster’s cottage – thinking it’s their new home – and Gwen accidentally flashing the gorgeous Ollie before they flee, the life-long friends realise that life in Cornwall is going to be anything but quiet!

They also quickly discover that they’re in over their heads and it’s going to take a village to turn their cottage’s narrow walls into the luxurious hideaway of their dreams. St Aidan is full of colourful characters just waiting to welcome them, if only Gwen and Ella can find the courage to start leaving the past behind them…

The third in the Little Cornish Kitchen series, and the second book I have read from it. The first book I read introduced me to this warm and welcoming village with residents that are just the same. I was really happy to return to St Aidens in Cornwall amd the people in it too.

We meet Gwen and Ella, best friends who are starting over together, with plans to renovate Stargazey cottage, with renovation plans that have been a bit of a over promise they can’t believe they have been accepted! Ollie their neighbour, lives in Stargazey House. He is also a newcomer to St Aidens like the women. We see them on their journeys through the ups and downs of coming to terms with what life has thrown them.

I was more excited than I expected to catch up with the previous characters from the other book. The Mermaids, the singles club and Clemmie too, while at the same time keeping up with the happenings in St Aidens. Again I was just soaking in every word of this story. The Cornish setting I have loved from the start, the detail is the same standard as the other book and the story no less captivating.

Jane Linfoot doesn’t just bring the whole cosy, warm-hearted village read, she also brings food! One thing I must say is…do not read on an empty stomach. I can tell you now the descriptions of the food WILL make your stomach rumble if so.

Delicious food, a beautiful setting and characters I always find I can take to my heart, with a story that has perfectly placed twists and turns and a bit of romance too. All I can say is, I’m happy to be caught up and look forward to returning again one day soon.

I write fun, flirty fiction, with feisty heroines, and lots of heart. Writing is fab, because I get to wear pretty shoes instead of wellies. I live in a cottage up the steepest hill in Derbyshire, where my family and pets are kind enough to ignore the chaos. Happily, we’re in walking distance of a supermarket. I love hearts, flowers, happy endings, all things vintage, most things French. When I’m not on Facebook, and can’t find an excuse for shopping, I’ll be out with my two Old English sheepdogs or in the garden. On days when I want to be really scared, I ride a tandem.
