Jessica Redland – Spring Tides at the Starfish Café @rararesources @BoldwoodBooks @JessicaRedland #SpringTidesattheStarfishCafé

Today I’m happy to say I am part of the Rachel random resources book tour spring tides at starfish cafe. Thanks to Rachel and Boldwood Books for the copy of the book to take part today.

Welcome back to the Starfish Café – where you will find stunning views, delicious food and lifelong friendships.

A new season…

As winter turns to spring, Hollie – owner of The Starfish Café – is feeling content as she settles into her new life with her loving boyfriend, Jake, and their adorable dog Pickle.

But when an unwelcome visitor threatens the future of her café, Hollie must stay strong to protect her family’s legacy…

A leap of faith…

Emerging from an unhappy relationship, Tori finds herself with nowhere to stay and nobody to talk to. The long-hidden secrets of her past weigh heavily on her until a chance encounter with Finley, struggling to come to terms with his own secrets, provides an opportunity to open up.

Can she find the strength to stop hiding from her past and face up to her family? Especially when that would mean letting her guard down and learning to trust again…

A fresh start…?

Little do Hollie and Tori know that their lives are about to collide at The Starfish Café and they may be able to help each other with a fresh start. After all, with good friends in your life, nothing is impossible…

Spring Tides at the Starfish Café by Jessica Redland is the second book in a series. This is my very first foray into Jessica Redland’s writing and didn’t realise it was part of a series. I have to say, apart from feeling like I should read the first book, I had absolutely no issues reading and enjoying this book.

Hollie and her partner Joe, as well as Pickle the dog, are settling into their life, running the Starfish Café and volunteering for the RNLI. This couple was so nice to get to know throughout the book. They are a couple who have been made stronger by the bad times in their past and it is very clear to see the strength of their love.
Tori is in an unhappy relationship with Leyton and isn’t sure which direction it will take…and then she meets Finlay and things begin to look a little brighter.

This is such a charming story. I am in love with the characters and setting of this book. Jessica Redland’s characters are so easy to take to your heart. Tori and Finlay’s story showed us Tori’s back story and we see how it shaped her life today. I loved her just for that, Jessica Redland does know how to make a reader care and feel like part of the story.

The book flowed so well that I was in that world, with these people as the drama and events unfolded along the way. It is an escapist read that makes you feel all warm and happy.

I was hooked – line and sinker, with Spring Tides at the Starfish café. A heartwarming read with characters who I got behind from the very beginning and cheered on until the very last page. I will be reading the next book and that’s a guarantee!
