Today, I am part of the Spellbound’s St Patrick’s Day Festival Book Tour for three books that are all different but great reads. My first post is Secrets Under Spanish Skies by Pauline Morgan. Thanks to ZooLoo’s Book Tours and Spellbound Books for my gifted copy of the book to take part.

A New Country.

A New Start.

Moya moved from Dublin to Nottingham when she was a teenager and met Kevin. But, after they were married he became increasingly controlling, and her only solace was in attending Spanish and book-keeping night classes. When Moya finds out Kevin has cheated on her – worse still, re-mortgaged their house to support his now pregnant mistress, she is devasted and left broken hearted.

At an all-time low, Moya’s oldest friend suggests she join her in Spain. Taking a leap of faith, Moya decides a fresh start in a new country is just what she needs.

But upon her arrival a prediction by a Spanish gipsy’s unnerves Moya.

Is Mateo the mysterious Lawyer, all he really seems to be or is Moya about to open up Pandora’s Box to secrets under Spanish Skies.

Pauline Morgan has written a heartwarming story of second chances that is so uplifting. Moya has been left high and dry by Kevin, cheated on, and to put the cherry on the top, he has remortgaged the house to support his pregnant girlfriend. She has nothing left.

Her best friend invites her to go to Spain and start again with a new life. Moya throws caution to the wind and goes. Her new boss sells his house to Moya to help set her up with her business, but Mateo, his nephew, isn’t overly keen…to put it mildly.

Secrets Under Spanish Skies makes you feel you are in Spain with the sun on your face and a little breeze in the air. I just needed a cocktail in my hand to complete the picture. Pauline Morgan writes a story that easily whisks the reader away from their everyday life. The sun, the sea, the…yeah secrets, all there for us to soak up.

Characters that are relatable, interesting, fun, and as the story unfolds, you feel like you know them. This is an action-packed story that really captivates you. From beginning to end, I was with Moya as she threw herself into her new life, cheering her on every page I read.

Secrets Under Spanish Skies is an entertaining book that is an escapist read that has the power to make you feel like you have had your summer abroad and have made a number of new friends. I have read and reviewed a previous book of Pauline Morgan, and  this book is just as good as the previous one I read. She has a style of writing that just grabs you immediately. A recommended read.
