One thing that truly relaxes me is a great romantic comedy and Toni’s Blind Date is certainly that. Let’s have a peek at the synopsis.

Toni Spielman and Will Thomas have no plans to date — anyone — but when fate throws them together on a TV dating show, they have to smile, pretend, and rethink their plans.
We meet Toni, her dad works on a dating show and she is working as a production assistant to help him out. Will is a contestant and after a problem, before the show starts Toni has to fill in as a contestant. When they are matched Toni and Will go on a romantic holiday skiing in Val Thorens where they get to know each other. Will their blind date end with them finding love after the show or not?

This just took me straight back to the real Blind Date with good old Cilla! I even felt like I was reading about the actual T.V show. The fact that Rosie Dean has used a dating show as the setting for this gives it a quirky, original hook. Both characters, Will and Toni are both in similar places, both have broken hearts due to previous relationships. We also see Toni also struggling to deal with an event she found herself going through.
Rosie Dean has created characters that are so lifelike and I think most people could fall in love with while rooting for Toni all the way through. The romance between these two is really sweet and when they finally get away from all the cameras it’s magic.
A rom-com that doesn’t just make you laugh, it manages to deal with emotive subjects sensitively. Rosie Dean has brought a story that makes you laugh and also think while she spins her multiple threads together then pull them apart as the challenges keep popping up as the story develops.
I have not had the pleasure of reading a Rosie Dean book before but now I wish I had. Such a funny, fulfilling and satisfying book. I do recommend this for anyone who loves a good rom-com with heart

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Rosie Dean for the gifted copy of the book.

She has won a Readers’ Choice Award from Ancient City Romance Authors (part of Romance Writers of America) and been a finalist in the 2017 Maggie Awards for Excellence.
Before writing novels, Rosie wrote training courses and marketing copy for the corporate world – a far cry from teaching Art and Pottery, where her career began.
