‘Second Chance To Wear His Ring’ by Hana Sheik is a Mills & Boon True Love story. I have read a few Mills & Boon books this year and have really enjoyed them. When this tour came up I thought I would join and see if the True Love Books were as good as the historical ones I have read.

A lost love and amnesia makes for a great plot. Millionaire Mansur Ali is called home to Somaliland to find the woman he once loved who rejected him needing his help. Amal has lost her memory after an accident and can’t even remember Manny’s proposal and her rejection. Manny helps her to get treatment but will his heart be broken twice by the same woman? Time will tell.

A love story set in locations that gave me the chance to experience these beautiful places with the author’s vivid descriptions. We meet two character’s who we discover have similar backstories. They are both successful in business, Manny all over the world and Amal in Africa. A set of characters you fall in love with as we see the tension between them, their shared past and Amal’s amnesia makes for difficulties but we see them slowly realise that they do still love each other despite everything that has happened.

A multi-layered story about overcoming tragedy and finding a second chance at love and we see the cultural differences that people have to overcome sometimes in life.

An interesting and relevant romance novel for today.
