This is How We Are Human by Louise Beech is a book that will have you frozen to the chair/bed (insert whichever place you are in here) until you have finally lapped up the last paragraph.

A stunningly told story of Sebastian, an autistic young man whose mother, Veronica, hires Isabelle a student nurse and call girl, to make him happy. Three lives collide in unexpected and moving ways…changing everything.
Whatever I write it will not ever fully cover the beauty, emotion and depth this book has, ever. I was invested as soon as I began the first page. This is a book that cries out to be read by everyone. A touching portrait of a family dealing with Autism and the complexities surrounding it. Veronica, Sebastians’ mother will do anything for her boy and this story is about her moving Heaven and Earth to help him. Sebastian is twenty and loves his fried eggs and is learning to be a bricklayer. He is also struggling to deal with his bodies sexual urges with his emotional maturity lagging behind. This is what leads Veronica to bring Isabelle into Sebastian’s life and leads to changes she never anticipated.
The story is told by all the characters in alternate chapters, each with their own personal heading to each chapter. This aids us to connect with each one. We are witness to each unique journey with its ups and downs, they all travel.
Every character in this book have all been created with so much compassion, sensitivity and understanding. Louise Beech has based this book on a true story and along with her research and understanding she has written a story that is almost as unique as a spiders web…no other book will ever come close to the skillfully written book that this is.

Out of all of Louise Beech books, this is my favourite, her writing is so skilled she can create a picture so vivid it feels so real. I am highly honoured to be a part of her Blog Tour and thank Anne Cater for inviting me and Orenda books for allowing me a copy of this almost indescribable book.

Huge thanks for the blog tour support x
