‘The Girl With The Flaming Hair’ by Natalie Kleinman is a Regency romance that is well researched and well written.

When setting off on a journey, Lord Luxton finds his sister’s friend Sophie unconscious at the side of the road, having fallen from her horse. He takes her back to his home where his mother Elizabeth and sister Lydia nurse her back to health. Sensing that Sophie doesn’t want to leave them, Elizabeth suggests that Sophie join them in their trip to London for Lydia’s coming-out season.
While in London, Sophie discovers secrets about her past that threaten to make her an outcast from the very society in which she has only just got a foothold into.

Natalie Kleinman has put so much detail into the book I was swept away back to the Regency period. Her characters are written so well, with likeable characters that you can empathise with. This makes the story feel real and all the more addictive. It doesn’t just rely on romance either there are a few twists within the story too, this enhances the need to flip those pages, needless to say, I read it at a speed!

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Sapere Books for the copy of the book.
