‘On The Road To Love’ by Melissa Baldwin is the first book in the ‘Love in the City’ series. A book with love, heartbreak and rekindled friendships, with a sprinkling of romance throughout.

Stacy Brown has it all…until the day her husband serves her divorce papers. Her perfect life crumbles, her friends don’t want her either now. She finds depression begins to bite. Her mum sends her an old picture of herself and two of her childhood friends, it ignites a longing to reconnect so she embarks on a road trip back home to Florida. We are along on the trip which gives Stacy a chance to take a long hard look at her city life.

A fabulous, easy read that had me laughing out loud at the antics of Stacy and her two friends. Melissa has made characters that are so bright and they almost jump out the pages as you read the story. A story that shows you that when something goes wrong it isn’t always as bad as you think. The friendships are put to the test as well on their trip, everyone has issues of their own and with each other as well. Not always an easy ride but as we see they do live and learn Longside each other.

A great book of friendship and of rediscovering love after you have been stamped on by others. I had to keep reading to find out how everything went for Stacy, I really liked her, the poor woman but she came out the other side better for it! I, for one, am glad she did!
Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Melissa Baldwin for the copy of the book.
