Luna Miller – Because You’re Mine

‘Because You’re Mine’ by Luna Miller is the second book in the Private Detective Gunvor Ström series. A new author for me and I am happy I came along on this tour. It is also easily read as a stand-alone, which I am happy to report.

A Nordic Noir type of story in which we meet Gunvor, a private detective who has help from three people; Aiden, David and Elin. She is searching for a missing husband but the wife isn’t keen on giving Gunvor the details. At the same time, Aiden bumps into a woman at a gay bar. She is looking for her friend who has been missing a week, no contact, nothing. As the investigations develop so do the connections. As the cases begin to connect they have no clue just what they are letting themselves in for.
I adore crime fiction and have read some great books this last 6 months that are in this category. This story is excellent. The way the investigations merge is clever plotting and it is well written too. Luna Miller has brought a Nordic Noir that doesn’t let us down.

The characters all work well together and are real, I felt I could be with them there. I was involved in this book from the beginning and I was definitely gripped and really loved the visit to Stockholm, hopefully I shall be able to return with the next Gunvor Ström instalment sometime soon.

I sped through this in no time and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who enjoys a crime thriller.
