‘Somebody Out There’ by Kevin Lynch is a psychological thriller that gave me a few goosebumps. A new author to me so I had no expectations and just got comfy and opened the book. I lost a few hours that is for sure.

Deborah and Ben decide to up sticks and move away from the city and into the Irish countryside, partially due to Deborah’s experiences in her job as an ex-crime reporter. They are looking forward to a quieter life, growing their own food and the children running free and in safety. As they start settling into their new safe haven, things start to happen that makes them wonder just how safe are they?
The characters in the story are all well developed to have me dying to know what would happen next. Jeremiah, well, creepy wasn’t the word. Odd, very odd man and he increased the growing sense of unease that I had as the story developed. I was behind Deborah throughout as she wasn’t for giving in at all.

A really intriguing story that I found flowed as I said I lost a few hours at a time with this book. Kevin Lynch has plotted and written this book very cleverly and the conclusion, well all I shall say is, I wasn’t expecting that!

Thanks to Damp Pebbles Blog Tours and Inkubator Books for the copy of the book and my place on the tour today.
