Rachel Abbott – Close Your Eyes

‘Close Your Eyes’ by Rachel Abbott is the newest instalment in the Tom Douglas series of thrillers. It is fine to read as a stand-alone but how can you pass up on a set of Rachel Abbott books to read? She is a skilful writer and again this story just concretes that fact for me.

When her boss’s son is discovered murdered Nicola takes her young son and runs as fast as she can. The police are trying to find her, why run if she is innocent with nothing to hide? The secrets from her past are threatening to come back to haunt her when she thought they were gone for good.
A pretty dark and gripping thriller that grabs you immediately. What begins as a murder turns into something more twisted as the story unfolds.

Rachel Abbott has woven a very intelligent thriller that is packed full of suspense as we the reader become privy to Nicola’s secrets as we read and be prepared for some shocking details. As I said this story becomes pretty twisted and I think this is one example of Rachel Abbott at her best!
