Robin Nye – Danger

‘Danger’ by Robin Nye is a brand new thriller series featuring DS Sara Hunter and DS Ted Solitto work for Kent police.

Robin Nye

What begins as a guest being reported missing from a five-star country hotel leads Hunter and Solitto into an investigation in which they discover that young girls are being trafficked from Eastern Europe to the U.K to be exploited within the sex industry. Hunter and Solitto are caught up in a gang war between the different gangs of traffickers as the deaths begin to multiply. Each gang want to be the top dog in the sleazy trafficking world. The officers are in a race to find out who the head of the U.K operation before someone else takes them out, but will they manage it?

What a read! What a story! This is not an easy story to read due to the nature of the crimes being investigated. A very current and topical story for today’s world and one which everyone should be aware of, in my opinion just because it isn’t easy reading doesn’t mean we should avoid it. The more the topic is made forefront the bigger the chance of finding these types of operations. So well done to Robin Nye with that firstly.

A detailed, riveting and very intriguing read that immersed me with the dirty, dark and intense criminal world that Solitto and Hunter had to investigate. A great introduction to this duo, with the gritty and realistic scenario we are thrown into, these coppers are determined to get to the bottom of it and what a read we have while they do exactly that.

The research that has been poured into this book, is clear to see. I always enjoy a story that is well written with the correct knowledge off course! If you enjoy a story that packs a punch, and you don’t mind a bigger book this could be just right! At around six hundred pages, Robin weaves a story that held me from the first to the last page. I am looking forward to the next book!

Thanks to Random Things Tours and Robin Nye for the book to write my review for today.
