‘Cooking For Cannibals’ by Rich Leder is a very different book, one I could almost call unique.

Carrie is a researcher who has discovered a miracle drug that reverses the ageing process. She decides to steal the drug and give it to her mum as she is scared her mum’s health is getting worse. Carrie is so happy it works a treat. On the other hand, the drug company has hired a murderer who ain’t at all squeamish, to find their miracle drug.
A story for the people who enjoy black humour and don’t mind a couple of torture scenes here and there. The oddest thing with this story is we see the two murderers who are hired to find the drug. These are both weirdly fascinating. Tino Antonov and Eduardo Wolf. Tino is chaotic and loves to taunt his victims by offering vodka, caviar and cigars first.
Eduardo is one who is efficient and gets his victims out of the way as quickly as possible. I never thought I would say murderers where fascinating, but there you go.
The main plot is just brilliant and Rich Leder has spun a web of side plotlines that have been skilfully crafted to make one excellently different book.

One thing I need to note, and that is, make sure you don’t mind a bit of torture and some cannibalism, this story has a bit of that!
Thank you to Damp Pebbles Blog Tours and Rich Leder for the copy of the book for my review today.

Cool review! I agree that Leder does have a way to make presumably unlikeable characters somewhat likeable and much more fascinating by the way he writes them.
