‘Bliss Uncovered’ by Tony J. Forder is a prequel to the highly popular and brilliant series featuring D.I Bliss. This novella transports us right back to his early years on the force, before he was shaped into the man we all know and love for his many endearing habits and ways (written tongue in cheek for the uninitiated among us).

We see a 28-year-old Bliss as a young DC, snapping up the offer to go undercover with CID. We meet Hazel his girlfriend and his family who gave him the grounding needed to be the excellent copper he is and carries on being when we meet him again in the Bliss series.
He may be a young Bliss but at times we get glimpses of his stubbornness and his determination to see everything through to the end, bugger the consequences! Ok, maybe not glimpses, they are just there for all to see.
Even though it is a novella it is packed full of Bliss and his world, a fast-paced and addictive read, just as the other books in the series are. This book is like the cherry on top of the cake, we have followed Bliss throughout his career and now we get to see the young man who went on to become our well-loved grouchy old DI Bliss.

As always a brilliant read, Tony Forder is a master at grabbing you at the first paragraph and not letting go till the last one. This is no exception to the rule! Till we meet again DI Bliss! Hope it won’t be too long.
Thank you to Tony J Forder and Book On The Bright Side Publicity for my copy of Bliss Uncovered, these are my unbiased thoughts on this great book today.

Thanks so much for closing off the blog tour today Sharon x
