Anna Legat – A Conspiracy Of Silence

‘A Conspiracy of Silence’ by Anna Legat is the fifth book in the DI Gillian Anderson series. I picked up this book and I was immediately intrigued. Gillian Anderson is a pull no punches kinda girl and detective as well. I loved her determination with her work. A bit of a prickly woman but one who grows on you pretty quickly as the story unfolds.

A body is discovered in the grounds of a private school. DI Anderson is called on the case. She quickly discovers no one will talk, the Headmaster being quite frankly a very horrible character and there was a moment when he was, quite rightly put straight by Marsh, that I was so happy!

While the case is ongoing, a discovery is made that may make another incident connected to the current case. I was hooked to the book by this time and was on pins waiting to see if they could solve both cases.

This is such a fantastically crafted story, Anna Legat has the skill to suck you into a book and not let you go until she is finished. I have read Anna’s books before and can say she consistently writes to a high standard and I never finish her books unsatisfied in any way with the story. She has the knack of leading you into a false sense of security thinking you know how it will end and then, BAM! she throws her little twists and turns in and you know no more than you did before. I would highly recommend anyone to try an Anna Legat book, they are so good.
