The Burning Soul is the sixth book in the Rylan Flynn Mysery series. To say I look forward to reading more books from this series is really an understatement. I would say this could be read as a standalone, but if you prefer to learn more about characters and have more background, the previous books are a great read, too!

Rylan is a character that I really do love. She is able to communicate with spirits and has proved it,time and time again. Still, there are people who don’t believe and think she must need attention. On the other side of it, she has steadfast people who believe and are there through thick and thin.

She uses her skills to find the truth and hopefully help the dead to move on. Alongside this, she has a little romance from time to time with Ford. Their  on – off relationship adds a different edge to the series, too. I am hooked on these two! Absolutely can’t get enough, and I am always hoping they will sort themselves out!

Dawn Merriman has given me a cliffhanger to make me so impatient for the next book again. I read these books way too fast and am left waiting. I can’t stop myself powering through this series. The mystery, the paranormal, and the sprinkle of romance have me every time! A highly recommended read.

Dawn Merriman grew up a small-town farm girl, on a small-time pig farm in Indiana. She spent her young adulthood sitting on her bedroom floor scribbling stories in notebooks. She won the “Northeast Indiana Young Writers” award as a sophomore in high school.
