The third book in the Kennedy Twins series, Double Cross, was a welcome return to Daisy and Lily Kennedy’s world for me. Stephanie Harte writes such authentic gangland that I always look forward to any books she writes.

This is a series that just gets even more  immersive and tense as it goes on! We see Daisy and Lily are now paying for their dad’s debt to a notorious gangster and paying it the hard way. Kidnapped along with being expected to prostitute herself, Daisy is pinning all her hopes on Lily. Will Daisy be disappointed? She may find out that even blood can double cross you at any point!

As I say, this is a series I get excited about reading. The characters have really made their mark on me, the twins especially. It made it all the more intriguing as Lily discovers some information that helps her understand the relationship she had with her parents and Daisy.

I revel in dark and gritty gangland fiction, and Stephanie Harte certainly knows how to bring it! In spades! The pages whizzed by so fast that I was almost surprised when I got to the end. It is fast-paced, mixed with the need to know what was going to happen, it was finished too soon. I always get invested in characters and feel like I leave a piece of myself behind when I have read a book. This series is like that.

Another fabulous read from the mind of Stephanie Harte, one I recommend to any gangland fans out there. Just start from book one, so you get the full experience on offer.
