Suzanne Stephenson – A Cat’s Lesson: Mr Perkins Goes To School

Thanks to Donna’s Book Tours and Suzanne Stephenson for my spot on the tour and the gifted ebook to write my honest review.

Things change when that black cat with the yellow eyes arrives on the scene.

When Mr Perkins arrives at the charming village of Willowrose by Stow, and ambles along to its village school, he becomes inextricably involved with the destinies of the inhabitants and those connected to them.

By the end of the tale, or tail, we discover who has made friends, who found companionship, maybe even love, and who has gone away.

One inhabitant will learn a lesson they will never forget.

Has all this, one way or another, really been brought about by that mysterious cat?

My Review

Here I am again! With a childrens story from the talented Suzanne Stephenson. A Cat’s Lesson brought me back to Mr Perkins, the magical cat! I do adore these stories with the illustrations, too!

He arrives in Willowrose by Stow and gets himself involved in the school, too. Again, it’s a beautiful story that teaches lessons and shows who deserves what in life.

The setting is again one that the author has described beautifully. I wanted to be there to see Mr Perkins in action. I love this cat and his shenanigans. Everything seems to connect back to him, and it’s just magical for a child to read.

I have already bought one of this series for my granddaughter, and I see another arriving for when she is big enough to read it herself. I look forward to the next Mr. Perkins tale.

Author Bio

Living in the English countryside I already had a couple of careers before I became an author. Having been a Family Lawyer and Family Mediator I became a District Judge in the year 2000 and officially retired from judging in early 2021.Sitting on complex family cases did not leave me much time for my interests of writing and sketching but when I had free-time I tried to visit interesting places .I hope my ancestors helped provide some inspiration as well. My father was a Holocaust survivor and my maternal grandfather a gynaecologist and composer. The people and countryside of Eastern England also are embedded in my psyche .
