This book will have you in stitches and also make you think at the same time. This Is Not A Love Story is simply that.

We take a journey with Maggie, she has a boyfriend who has simply moved himself in and she feels like she needs to get rid. I was in the same frame of mind as Maggie after about 2 pages if I am honest. She decides she needs to sort herself out once and for all. Spending a fair chunk of her time on the social media sites she feels everyone on there has the perfect life and she is a letdown, which, clearly she wasn’t but she is lacking something in her life. Maggie makes a list of the changeable things in her life, wanting a new job, exercise more, all the things she feels will aid her in having a better life. She has a drunken outburst and then gets the sack from her job so her changes will have to come quicker than she thought.

I really enjoyed this read as on the surface it seems a lighthearted look at life but if you scratch the surface the deeper issues appear, just like life.
