Rose McClelland – Under Your Skin

‘Under Your Skin’ by Rose McClelland is a thriller that will definitely get under your skin at some point.

Hannah is missing and her husband Kyle reports her disappearance to the police. A search is set up and started. The locals begin a campaign to help look for Hannah, in which members of the public search areas to help.
Told from different points of view of some characters we get to learn about Kyle and Hannahs relationship early on. Detective Kerry, who is assigned to the case is a character that we also get to know with the histories of her and Simon her work partner. These are a possible trigger for some, being baby loss and also Domestic Violence. Julia is a woman who has just joined the public campaign but as the story evolves so does she.

Hannah is a woman who just makes you want to reach into the page and hug her. She is someone who has tried so hard but has still been given the dirty end of the stick in life! No matter how hard she tries nothing goes right. I could empathise with her so much!
I really love the way the author has written this book. I like short chapters and every time we switch perspectives we have a new chapter. This just made the time I was reading fly. This makes the story pretty fast-paced and I was dying to know the outcome, needless to say, not everything is as it seems! For anything else, you need to read it. Thanks to Books On The Bright Side for the inclusion of the blog tour and the book. Another new author for me!
