‘Dance With The Reaper’ by Wes Markin is D.C.I Yorke’s fifth outing. Following on from The Rise Of The Rays, released earlier this year, Yorke and the team are now sort of over that particular fall out.

Yorke finds himself facing another killer named The Reaper, an ex-ballet dancer who did a career switch and is now a killer. The Reaper gets a massive kick from causing absolute agony before putting his chosen victim out of their misery.

Every time I open a DCI Yorke book, I always wonder if Wes can top his previous work. He always manages it! This is gruesome, dark, tense and with Wes’s dark humour threading through too. In my opinion, the DCI Yorke series is very well written. If you are faint-hearted in any way, best not bother! These books are a tense, suspenseful and I am always on the edge of my seat with my heart in my mouth.
