Rosie Clarke – A Reunion At Mulberry Lane

A Reunion At Mulberry Lane by Rosie Clarke is the sixth book in a series. This is the first one I have read by Rosie in this particular series and it is fine as a standalone also.

Rosie Clarke

A lovely saga set in the 1950s after the war and featuring Peggy and her husband Able, who are now running a cafe away from the lane in the countryside. Every year they take three weeks off and return to London and see all their friends.

The book tells us all about Peggy, Able and all the people in their lives and the family that connect through Maggie. it is just like sitting with a brew in your hands and meandering with friends, whiling the day away. We learn all about their ups and downs, the struggles after the war. The romances, the sad times and the drama that happens to them in their lives. Always a warm and fun time with Christmas and the merriments. I definitely felt like I had new friends by the end of this book.

I love a good heartwarming saga, set in the past and times gone by, community and friendship was everything then and not many went far wrong with these things behind them. A cast of down to earth characters will never go amiss in this type of story and I, for one, loved it!

Thanks to Rachels Random Resources, Netgalley and the publisher for the book so I could write my review.
