Marcie Steele – Coming Home To Hope Street

‘Coming Home To Hope Street’ by Marcie Steele is a heartwarming and emotional story that will make you feel like a cosy night in to finish it in one go. This is the second book in the Hope Street series and can be read as a standalone but everything is obviously clearer if you have read ‘The Man Across The Street’ first which is just as good as this by the way.

Marcie Steele

Livvy returns to Hope Street after 20 years away, with her 15-year-old daughter, Pip. Why did she stay away so long and what will Hannah, her sister make of all this? Livvy’s life has not been an easy one in Manchester, but all Hannah sees, is she was left to care for their mother and Livvy never got in touch…until today.

Hannah and Livvy begin to rebuild their relationship after their years apart and it is lovely to see. Hannah welcomes her niece straight to her heart. Happy to meet this 15-year-old she has missed out on so much of. I love Hannah so much, she is an inspirational woman.
Everything seems to be slotting for Hannah, her love life is going good, then she opens her very own book shop. This is all amazing for her after all that has happened.

Somerley is still in of those places that have a real sense of community. These days we have lost that sense of community and I really miss that. In Somerley they still look after each other and help if needed, just reminds me of around 10 years ago.
This book is a story of people and their ups and downs. A story that restores your faith in human nature and makes you realise there is always a friend to help you…somewhere when you least expect one.

Another beautifully heartwarming book from Marcie Steele who has, again created characters that you feel you know and love! Thanks to Books On The Bright Side and Marcie Steele for the copy of the book and allowing me to be a part of this wonderful books blog tour.
