Suzanne Snow – The Cottage Of New Beginnings

‘The Cottage Of New Beginnings’ by Suzanne Snow is a lovely romantic love story set in the village of Thorndale.

Annie is returning to the village after inheriting her godmother’s cottage, she has been jilted by her fiance, days before they were due to marry. He decided to return to his ex instead. Annie feels she needs to sort her life out and the cottage she spent her summers in with her godmother should be the perfect place. She has gained employment as a supply teacher at a nearby school and has the summer to get settled before school begins again.

The move turns into a disaster when she is stuck in motorway traffic and the removal men just went ahead and dumped her furniture outside, luckily, covered in a tarp as it was raining!
She decides to shop for essentials so pops to the village, car parks full so she pops the car where villagers normally would when doing a quick shop. She bumps into an old friend and has a chat, then gets icecream and then shops. Returning to the car to discover a rather angry man, she has parked in front of the barn that Fell Rescue use 24/7 access is needed! Sparks fly! Not just anger either!
She settles in and constantly see the angry man around but she is in no mood to get entangled in men again! This relationship has its twists and turns so much that eventually, everything seems to slot into place…until it goes wrong. Then it is Annie’s choice if she will take that leap of faith or not?

For me this was a perfect cosy read for these dark and damp nights now, I really felt for Annie all the way through. Her broken heart and a new start made her courageous to me. A new life is what we all wish for every now and again and the fact she grabs it with both hands had me cheering! A charming story to lighten your heart!

Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources and the publisher for the copy of the book for me to write this review today.
