‘You Never See Rainbows At Christmas’ by Elaine Spires has the loveliest cover I have seen in a while. As I discovered pretty soon it reflects the type of story that the pages hold.

Eloise and Adam are the two main characters and both are avoiding dealing with issues from their past that have brought nothing but grief, shame, hurt, pain and even anger. I felt for them both, they are in their worlds of pain for their own reasons and was curious as to what brought them to these places. I just wanted to reach out and help, that’s how much believable Eloise and Adam were for me.
We see a friendship grow between them both and we see how they move forward within themselves with the help of their friendship. I was eager to see how the story ended with these two fantastic people.
You Never See Rainbows At Christmas is about that friendship and it also deals with homelessness in such a sensitive way that it manages to convey a message no one should ignore. A Christmas time story that incorporates, forgiveness, love and the fact that it is possible to change your opinion on a person, people and even on yourself at any moment.

This story is a lovely Christmas read and I enjoyed my time with these two characters and their life lessons.
Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Elaine Spires for the copy of the book for the blog blitz today.
