Louise Worthington

We see Willow, on the cusp of a new chapter in her life. Moving in with her partner and his daughter should be the beginning of her dream life. Willow is still trying to handle her grief from her sister dying in a house fire back when they were children she believes that her sister can speak to her from the grave. Incidents start to occur with warnings of people or places… Willow is convinced they are messages from her sister, but could they just be coincidental? As Willow attempts to interpret the messages she wonders if it’s her partner or the house she is planning on moving into due to bad memories from her best friend. Willow really isn’t sure but as we see that it is very clear something isn’t right, but what exactly?

A book that deals with some heavy themes from abuse to mental health so, be warned, those that struggle with triggers, but these are all dealt with sensitively by Louise Worthington. As the story unfolds it has strong horror-like moments which made the suspense rack up. I thought the characters were all strong and had their own personalities within the book.

The second half of the book ramped up the twists, turns along with the pace. The action is constant and I was second-guessing everything myself, just what I need from a book like this! Overall I enjoyed this creepy, twisty book with character that all played their parts within the well-written story.

Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources, Red Escape Publishing and Louise Worthington for my copy of this book.
