Zoe Allison – Second Chance at First Love: Love’s Bloom

‘Second Chance at First Love: Love’s Bloom’ by Zoe Allison is a thoroughly heartwarming story that I found so lovely and I just allowed myself to be swept into the story and go with it.

Zoe Allison

Eva is a successful woman, who has a good job but when her marriage comes to an end, she finds herself moving back to Yorkshire, the place where she grew up and spent many happy years. When Eva arrives she sees Damon, her childhood friend and first love. He has never looked at Eva romantically so her love went unrequited.

Damon is also newly single and is trying to adjust to life co-parenting with his ex. When he comes face to face with Eva again, their connection is still the same as it was all those years ago. He feels she was never interested in him, making her indifference crystal clear when they were younger.

Is their connection strong enough to get through Eva’s walls she has built? She holds secrets close to her heart and struggles to allow people, even Damon in….only time will tell.

A book that has two characters that I really warmed to. Damon has such love for his children, it literally pours out of him for all to see. I love that in a man. Eva is a gorgeous woman, inside and out. All the things she has been through and she manages to shine. It was an easy story to be swept away with, the heartwarming moments and the dramatic times carried me away. I didn’t want to leave Eva and Damon at all and found I read it in one sitting.

Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Zoe Allison for the copy of the book.
