City of Mirth and Malice was such an anticipated book for me! I have been waiting since I read the last word in the first book! I was so excited to read this that I started reading the second it hit my Kindle!
The ending of House of Bane and Blood had me so impatient! I opened this book and I was back with Camilla and Nico. Alexis L. Menard brings her characters to life so vividly that I feel like they could jump out of the pages.
The tension, drama, and hope that threads through this book raised my blood pressure! I could feel my heart pounding as I read. The twists were so good! I couldn’t stop reading and happily stayed up until deep into the night so I could find out what happened to these characters I held close to my heart. I could only hope that I would be happy with the outcome.
There is spice too, and plenty of it! I loved everything about this duology. I am genuinely going to miss Camilla and Nico so much! A brilliant set of books , and I am so lucky to have read them!
