Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for my gifted ebook to write my honest review

Recently separated Demelza is nearing 50 and learning to live life again away from her problematic ex. The menopause is causing havoc with her hormones and after years of frustration she finds herself attracted to a much younger man.

28 year old wanna be comedian Stephen Shaw knows he’s attractive. He’s worked hard on his talent and physique but he never imagined being instantly smitten by a woman old enough to be his mother.

After an almost one night stand, Stephen starts work as Demelza’s new PA and the sparks continue to fly.

When Demelza’s ex comes back on the scene, she has to stand her ground and find the strength to fight for what she believes in.
Stephen shows Demelza what it’s like to have a man that’s kind, considerate and confident in life and also in the bedroom.

Will their relationship turn into something lasting or is Stephen just a Shaw thing?

My Review

A spicy romance read that follows Demelza, a 48 year old who has just rediscovered a love for life again after splitting up with her husband. She meets Stephen, who is a comedian, and 28. This unlikely pairing brings Demelza a whole new outlook on relationships, but can she learn to 100% trust a man and especially a younger one?

This was a refreshing take on the age gap romance! Demelza is a fabulous character! The fact that she took the plunge and moved forward in her life showed strength, and I loved being by her side. Her age definitely made this a read for me! It was good to have the view from a woman around my age, instead of a nice and fresh twenty something.

It may be on the spicy side, but it isn’t overdone. It accentuates how much Demelza has gained by moving on with her life. Demelza and Stephen are both so well created that they could have been real people.

All in all, it was an enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages!
