The fifth and final book of the Savage Sisters series! Savage Blood was a book I have been waiting for! Heather Atkinson is one of my go-to authors for gangland (among other genres). I have followed this series from the start and couldn’t wait to catch up with the characters.
Carly is still grieving from the events in the previous book. The need for revenge is still strong. She is driven to destroy Cole Alexander and Dean, her cousin. Toni McVeigh is the queen of Glasgow, and her reign is attcked by Cole, giving Carly an opportunity to get rid of Cole and cement the Savage’s place in Toni’s gang.
Woah, this book is perfect for the finale of this series! It’s dark and gritty gangland, for sure. What I will say is it may be gangland fiction, but there are big emotions running throughout. The bonds of family play a major part in Savage Blood. Whether loyalty, distrust, or just out and out enemies, they are there.
I just raced through it, even though I didn’t want it to end,I couldn’t help myself. I had to see how it all turned out. It’s such an addictive read, but that’s all the series. I would suggest reading them in order to get to know everyone who is part of the series.
Gripping, tense, and totally immersive! Brilliant book!
