My Review
This is an intriguing read from the start. Alex was married to Freddie, who disappeared ten years previously. He was declared dead, and Alex fell in love with his best friend, Carter. The man who helped Alex through the nightmare time after Freddie went missing. Then, one day, Freddie wals back through the door!
The Husband Before You is a tightly plotted and expertly written psychological thriller. Told from multiple perspectives and from the past and present. It was a book that had my attention from the off! I adore it when I am faced with multiple perspectives and time slips. It draws me right in. Immersive reading at its best.
Suspenseful and so well woven together, the twists and turns of this book made me so curious that I was doing my best to piece everything together. The unravelling of the mystery had me glued to the book. I was so eager to know everything about why Freddie was back and what had been happening.
A J McDine has again created a psychological thriller that is perfectly paced but also left me thinking after I had finished the book. Another belter of a read!
