MY REVIEW
The first book in a brand new dark romantasy series, The Masks of Under. King of Flames had a blurb and cover I could not ignore. The pull to read this book was so strong! I haven’t read any book by this author before, which meant I had no idea just how good King Of Flames would be. I just put my trust in Second Sky Books and started reading.
I flaming loved it! I was whisked away, so a world that has been built so well. My imagination was running riot with the vivid descriptions. I was truly addicted and it didn’t take long at all. Kathryn Ann Kingsley sure knows how to bring a setting and characters to life in glorious technicolour!
The plot is one that just adds the cherry on the top of an already immersive book. The characters are so well fleshed out that they are all very unique and stand out. I always appreciate a set of memorable characters, and Aon is nost definitely that!
All I can say is that I am pretty happy that this is book one! I can savour the series to its conclusion. This is a book that teases you and really does leave me wanting more. Not that I am complaining, no way! I am just going to look forward to the second book and enjoy every minute of it. It’s a good read for any Sarah J Maas fans out there.
