Thanks to Donna Morfett and Suzanne Stephenson for my invite to join this tour and the gifted ebook to write my honest review.
Blurb
When Mr Perkins shows up, things are going to change. How this black cat can make such a difference is anyone’s guess, but he does.
The lives of the people in the courthouse and a nearby bed and breakfast, are going to transform. But will it always be for the better?
Whether it is pet rescue, support dogs, or help with British Sign Language, this black cat seems to be in the mix. Following Mr Perkins’ appearance in the lives of judges, litigants and court staff, the local vet and the people in the B&B, all seem to benefit from the strange cat with the bright yellow eyes.
After touching base with Mr Perkins judgements are improved inside and out of the courtroom. Is this cat some stray moggy, or is there a little bit of stardust on his paws?
My Review
This is the first time I have had the pleasure of reading a Suzanne Stephenson story. This is a delightful tale that even has gorgeous line drawings of Mr Perkins, the cat, the main character of A Cat’s Judgement.
I am a massive animal lover, I have owned cats and dogs from being young. As soon as I had my own home, I had to fill it with both animals! So, a book about a cat is right down my street. Mr Perkins is a stray black car with yellow eyes who turns up at ‘The Judges Lodgings B&B’. He immediately has everyone under his ‘spell’. I say this with tongue in cheek, as he changes lives along the way, for the better!
It is a heartwarming and sweet story that just highlights the way pets make positive contributions to people’s lives. The characters are all so likeable, whether animal or human. I have to say I quite fancy a parakeet now!
It’s a book that’s not an overly long read, and one which I can see myself reading to my grandaughter when she is a little older. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and am going to check the other books this author has written.

Author Bio

Living in the English countryside I already had a couple of careers before I became an author. Having been a Family Lawyer and Family Mediator I became a District Judge in the year 2000 and officially retired from judging in early 2021.Sitting on complex family cases did not leave me much time for my interests of writing and sketching but when I had free-time I tried to visit interesting places .I hope my ancestors helped provide some inspiration as well. My father was a Holocaust survivor and my maternal grandfather a gynaecologist and composer. The people and countryside of Eastern England also are embedded in my psyche .
