I’m extra pleased to be on the blog tour for Love & Duty At Blackberry Farm by Rosie Clarke. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books for the gifted ebook to write my honest review.

As the men fight and the war rages, there are some new arrivals on the farm
Cambridgeshire – 1942
As a new year begins and the war continues, young Artie Talbot feels trapped. In his heart he longs to fight, like his two brothers, for his king and country but is duty tied to Blackberry Farm.
As feelings grow between Artie and Jeanie Salmons, Artie wonders if marriage will help him to finally accept his lot and settle down.
Meanwhile, his brother John Talbot must come to terms with the tragic loss of a lost love. Can he overcome his trauma and begin to build a new life for himself and his new born son?
Frances Grant, a new mysterious land girl arrives hoping to escape a violent past. Surely the countryside will offer her the safety and anonymity she craves. But someone is vengeful and eager to settle an old score…
As a terrible shock rocks the family, will love and duty be enough to get the family through the dark days ahead?

To say I enjoy returning to any of Rosie Clarke’s books is an understatement. The Blackberry Farm series is now up to three books. Love & Duty at Blackberry Farm is the third, and I have to say I was looking forward to catching up with everyone.
It’s now 1942, and the Talbot family is still attempting to get over the tragedy from a year earlier. They get a new land girl, Frances, to help on the farm. She has her own problems, too, with the war raging on. We see the fall out for the families at home as men and boys are killed or maimed in the line of duty
No matter what horrors befall the community, the community spirit prevails over all. The friendships and love shine through everything. Every character in these books just make me feel like I am a part of them. This is due to Rosie Clarke and her skill of truly immersing a reader with tales of the past. I always know that a Rosie Clarke book will be read so quickly when I open my Kindle.
Historical fiction or saga’s are my go-to for being educated and entertained at the same time. This is something this author never fails at. Now I look forward to a new book from her!
