Always Beth is a book I had to read. Not just for the blurb and cover, but for the fact that Bethany Cross is my daughters name too!! Louise Hudson is a brand new author to me, so I had no idea what to expect as I settled down to read.
Beth is ready for a fresh new life after a divorce from hell. Her plan is to start a candle making business in the Cotswolds. She doesn’t factor in meeting James Taylor. He is a barrister who also looks after his terminally ill sister, and from there, things don’t go as she planned.
From the minute their dogs met, Beth and James lives began to spin on totally different axes than they expected, and I loved it. This is a book you should have some tissues handy for. A touching, emotional, and true to life story with characters that don’t tug at your heartstrings… they tear your heart out and stamp hard on it!
A contemporary romance with two characters who had me smiling with the banter between them from the start. As the story unfolds, the rollercoaster of emotions begins to ripple throughout. I felt like I had been through the mill emotionally after I read Always Beth.
Louise Hudson has done a great job bringing characters that I was invested in and even some beautiful dogs for me to smile at their antics. Always Beth is one of those books that leaves you thinking as well as feeling every emotion you have been through with the characters.

Louise Hudson adores all things romance, from musicals, to films and most importantly books. Her kindle is permanently by her side so she can steal every spare opportunity to catch up on reading. Having discovered her love of storytelling at a young age, she decided it was now time to start sharing her characters with the world.
