Today, I’m hosting my stop on the Death At The Three Sisters by Jo Allen blog tour. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Jo Allen for my gifted ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Three feuding sisters. A faded spa. And a woman, dead in the water…
As they head towards retirement, Suzanne, Hazel and Tessa Walsh are locked in bitter disagreement about the future of the lakeside beauty spa they jointly own. Should they keep The Three Sisters going as their parents wished, or should they sell to a neighbouring hotelier who seems determined to acquire the failing business, even at a preposterously high cost?
When their employee, Sophie Hayes, is found drowned close to the spa one cold January morning it rapidly becomes clear that it’s no accident: Sophie has been murdered. But who could possibly want to kill her — or was she mistaken for someone else? As DCI Jude Satterthwaite seeks the answers he and his team dig ever deeper into the complicated and embittered relationships between the sisters and their neighbours.
As the investigation proceeds Jude becomes convinced that Sophie’s murder may only be the beginning. It’s not long before a shocking and tragic turn of events proves him correct and he and his team find themselves in a race to prevent a further, final tragedy overtaking the Three Sisters.
Can he uncover what deadly secrets the sisters are prepared to die — or kill — for, or will he be too late?
DCI Jude Satterthwaite and his team are back! The tenth book in this fabulous series by Jo Allen and it’s as fresh as book number one. This is a series that I always thoroughly enjoy returning to, time and time again. When I see a new Jo Allen book, I jump to read it as soon as I can.
Death At The Three Sisters is an intriguing story. Jo Allen has again packed this instalment full of suspense. The setting is so atmospheric that it had me hooked. I was so eager to find out exactly what happened to Sophie and why. I do have such a soft spot for Jude Satterthwaite. He is a strong character, and I almost feel like he could be real.
Jo Allen’s characters are well detailed and always well written. Whichever book you chose to read, the characters are always strong and unique. I do think they always bring more depth to the story, and Death At The Three Sisters is exactly the same.
The three Sisters, Suzanne, Hazel, and Tessa Walsh, had me curious to learn everything about all three of them. There were suspects aplenty to keep me busy, guessing and second guessing as the story unfolded and the dead mounted up.
Even after ten books, I still hope for more books featuring Jude Satterthwaite. Jo Allen writes police procedurals so well. I know that any fan of police procedurals will love to get stuck into this series.
