Welcome back, everyone! I’m back again. This time, I’m on the book tour for The Ones Who Are Hidden by Kerry Wilkinson. Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the ebook in exchange for an honest review.
Your tattoo… it’s exactly like mine.’ She hesitates. ‘But – I’ve never noticed it before. I must have had it since I was little.’ The ink markings on both of them are delicate, barely visible. Interlinked triangles in the shape of a daisy. But how can two strangers have matching tattoos, they didn’t know they had?
With their parents gone and nobody left to ask, when Georgia and Oliver first come to amateur sleuth Millie Westlake for help with their daisy-shaped markings she thinks the tattoos are a joke. A funny, if unusual, link between two strangers. In the seaside town of Whitecliff, stranger things have happened – especially to Millie herself.
But then Millie finds an artist who remembers giving someone the same tattoo twenty years ago. Someone who spent years hiding in the isolated woods outside Whitecliff – the same place unidentified bodies were once found…
Even as Millie gets closer to answers, she witnesses a shocking robbery that changes everything. And as whispers of what happened in the woods decades ago become louder, how much danger will Millie, Georgia and Oliver put themselves in, to uncover the mystery of the daisy-shaped markings and the dark truth about their pasts?
This gripping and character-driven mystery read is perfect for fans of Faith Martin, Ann Cleeves and LJ Ross.

The fourth book in the Whitecliff Bay Mystery series, The Ones Who Are Hidden, is most definitely a book I was waiting for after finishing the third. I was looking forward to rejoining Millie in Whitecliff and catching up with her.
The one thing about this series is that I do recommend you read it in order. If only to truly understand the characters, Millie herself has had a complicated life, especially over the past few years. The previous books explore some of what has happened.
This is a series that just seems to get better with every book. In The Ones Who Are Hidden, the guitar teacher of Millie’s son Eric shows her a tattoo that he has behind his ear he has no clue how it got there. Millie, being Millie, let’s her curiosity take over and finds herself digging up much more than she bargained for.
Kerry Wilkinson writes such intriguing stories, be it mysteries or psychological thrillers. His characters are like friends, well, Millie definitely is. I liked that Millie is growing as the series goes on. She is coming into her own, slowly but surely. I think it’s about time she started defending herself, so I loved her doing this in this book.
I started reading this and again was hooked from the first page right to the last. The mystery had me glued to my Kindle, and the twists did what they should. I was guessing right up to the end. As I expect from this series now, it was a cliffhanger ending that just left me in anticipation for book five! Another excellent instalment by Kerry Wilkinson.

Kerry Wilkinson is from the English county of Somerset but has spent far too long living in the north. It’s there that he’s picked up possibly made-up regional words like ‘barm’ and ‘ginnel’. He pretends to know what they mean.
He’s also been busy since turning thirty: his Jessica Daniel crime series has sold more than a million copies in the UK; he has written a fantasy-adventure trilogy for young adults; a second crime series featuring private investigator Andrew Hunter and the standalone thriller, Down Among The Dead Men.
