Kate Peridot – Caring Conservationists Who Are Changing Our Planet @rararesources @kateperidot #CaringConservationistsWhoAreChangingOurPlanet #SharonBTB

Hey everyone! I’m on the book tour for Caring Conservationists Who Are Changing Our Planet by Kate Peridot and illustrated by Sarah Long. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Kate Peridot for the gifted ebook to write an honest review.

Travel around the world and discover the stories of 20 conservationists and the endangered animals they are helping to save, including the orangutang, blue whale, Indian tiger, rhino, honeybee, Komodo dragon and sea turtle.

Positive, uplifting and packed full of information, with 20 fun activities for children to try, this book will show children no one is too small to make a difference.

It is an absolutely fabulous book for children aged between 5 and 9 years old. It’s beautifully illustrated, and the subject is so relevant today. I found it interesting as an adult, so I could see others enjoying it as they read along with their children.

The book has had so much research poured into it. You can tell that Kate Peridot has a passion for conservation. We get to know conservationists from around the world and all the different animals they do their best to protect. Some are famous, like Sir David Attenborough, and others aren’t as well known. Mikaila Ulmer is an American who sells Me & the Bees lemonade for bees, basically.

The animals have their own profiles, so whoever is reading can fully understand just how endangered they are. Then, there are even activity pages for the children to interact and learn while doing fun things. This is a genius idea. It takes the work out of learning what’s important in our world.

Sarah Long is the illustrator who has drawn the colourful pictures that put the cherry on the top of this book. It has the capacity to educate adults as well as children, of that I’m sure.
