This is the third psychological thriller that Amanda Ashby & Sally Rigby have collaborated on. Every single book has been just so good. This one is my favourite out of all three.
We meet Alice on trial for the murder of her ex-husbands fiancée and her daughters boyfriend. It all seems cut and dried, Alice is just waiting for her sentence. The story then slips back in time, to six months before. We see just how Alice got to the point of awaiting her trial. Could she have been that desperate to keep her old way of life? Or is everything not as it seems?
What a page turner this is! So twisty and devious in its telling that the tension is almost palpable. I had no idea who I should believe. There were so many red herrings I didn’t have a clue. I have to say that the police were as flummoxed as me!
Just when you think there could be no more to learn, the authors drop more reveals, twists and turns. I didn’t miss a beat reading this. I almost inhaled this book! A brilliant psychological thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end!

Amanda Ashby and Sally Rigby are a crime writing partnership. Both authors live in New Zealand, have been friends for eighteen years and agree about everything (except musicals). They decided to collaborate on a psychological thriller which they then entered into a competition, run by Boldwood, and which they won!
