Stuart Field – Running Steel @HeatherJFitt @StuartField14 #RunningSteel #JohnSteelSeries #booktour #bookreview #SharonBTB

Hello, and good morning to all my fellow bookworms! Today, I start the day with my book tour stop for Running Steel by Stuart Field. Thanks to Overview Media and Stuart Field for the gifted ebook in order to write my honest review.

In the sixth book in Stuart Field’s thriller series, John Steel is drawn into a deadly game of cat and mouse as he hunts for a methodical killer known as The Sentinel.

Helping an old friend in the CIA to hunt down the serial killer, Steel soon realizes that the culprit is sending them postcards with clues to his next victim. Digging deeper into the lives of the previous victims, it seems that the only thing that is constant is that all cards are addressed to him, Detective John Steel.

Racing against time, can he stop the elusive killer on his tracks, or will he end up as the last name on The Sentinel’s list?

Running Steel is the sixth book in the John Steel Series. I have read two books previously and knew I wouldn’t have a problem picking up the story. This is a series that would probably triple my enjoyment if I had read each and every book, but each book has so much action and adventure packed into it that it’s still an excellent read.

Again, this book starts as it means to go on. I found myself thrown into the action straight away. This is what I thoroughly appreciate about the John Steel Series. Stuart Field keeps a pace that leaves me needing to keep turning those pages. There is no lull in the action throughout.

Steel finds himself on the hunt for a killer who isn’t for giving up. Even worse, it seems that he himself may be on the hitlist. The killer sends postcards addressed to him, and that’s the only link between all the victims. Steel knows it’s a race against time to find The Sentinel, as the killer is known, but does this mean The Sentinel knows him? Only time will tell.

This is another adrenaline inducing story. The fact that Steel has to use every ounce of determination and endurance he can to attempt to beat The Sentinel at his own game. It makes this such a pulse pounding read at times. I invested in John Steel from the last book I read, and I hope that it isn’t going to be the end of the series. He is a character that I would love to read more of. He makes this such an addictive read that glues you to the pages until you know every single thing that is going to happen and how it ends!

Stuart Field writes books in various genres, and this series is the one that introduced me to his writing skills. He is an excellent author who can transport the reader to wherever he choises. The vivid detailing of the settings, the fully fleshed out characters all make his books so readable. The John Steel Series is one of my favourite action series. Now I have said that I need to pop off and but the other three so I can continue my John Steel addiction!
