Martin Treanor – The Logos Prophecy (Fall Of Ancients Book 1) @LiterallyPR @Martin_Treanor

Today, I’m happy to say I am bringing my review for The Logos Prophecy by Martin Treanor on behalf of Literally PR. Thanks to both LitPR and Martin Treanor for the copy of the book to take part.

Synopsis

Ary Long is a conspiracy theorist, Jordan Burke is a science guy – and never the twain shall meet… until, through chance encounter and a bizarre symbol, their lives take an extraordinary turn

Thrown together by a mysterious group and hunted by their bitter enemies, the unlikely pair scour the globe searching for the roots of the ancient symbol, uncovering the reality behind the existing world order and the arcane, metaphysical wisdom known as Logos.

13,000 years of exploitation

3 months to put it right

HISTORY IS NOT WHAT YOU BELIEVE

Whenever I see a book that involves conspiracy theories, ancient symbols, texts, or artefacts, I have to read it. The Logos Prophecy is a conspiracy thriller with spades. From an author I haven’t come across before so I had no idea what to expect. Well! I want to read book number two in this series now.

As soon as I saw the synopsis for The Logos Prophecy, I knew I wanted to read it. When I started it, I didn’t realise just how much it would hook me. I was sucked into the world that Martin Treanor had built and so much invested in Ary and Jordan. They are the chosen ones who travel far and wide to attempt to discover the meaning of a symbol they have found. The Logos is connected to London, Peru, New York, and even Cambodia as they do their utmost to save civilisation.

I got so immersed in this adventure that I read it in less than two days (would have been one, but family gets in the way!). I really got behind Ary and Jordan, two truly different characters. Ary is definitely one to stand up for herself, and she is so curious to know everything. Jordan is the careful one, so intellectual, and there are times they clash, which makes for entertaining scenes as the story develops.

Fast paced and crammed with ancient mysteries, myths, religions, and everything that I find, oh, so interesting. The twists just increase the intrigue along the way, too. I loved this adventure and am waiting oh, so impatiently for Fall Of The Ancients Book 2!

Author Bio

Martin Treanor enjoys all things historical, archaeological and metaphysical.

He has developed a strong interest in quantum physics, which he likes to introduce into his books and stories. He also has a fondness for the dark and macabre.

Over the years, Martin has worked as a university technician, trade union representative, engineering tutor, lift installer, laborer, bar manager, bookseller, and a writer.

Previous works include his illustrated, political satire series, The Tales of Trumplethinskin, his urban fantasy novel, Hellmaw: Dark Creed – which was released as part of Ed Greenwood’s (DnD; Forgotten Realms) urban fantasy setting – and his debut novel, The Silver Mist, which was a bestseller in Amazon’s metaphysical fiction category.

Martin, originally from Ireland, has lived in London, Copenhagen, and now lives in Lisbon, Portugal with his wife Lynsey and their overdramatic cat. Martin and his wife are vegans, none of the characters eat meat in the series (although the term vegan isn’t explicit in the book). Martin is fluent in Danish and, when not writing, is also an artist illustrator.
