Silver Blooms Flower Shop: Lexi and Bryce have never been friends. She views him as her childhood bully. So, she finds a way to stick it to the fancy-schmancy businessman by using his name as her pen name for the erotic romance books that she writes. That way, when potential clients try to check him out online, all they will see is fishnet stockings, sexy CEOs, and steamy sneak previews. But, when Not-Nice-Bryce comes back home to confront her, their past comes flooding back, and maybe it wasn’t as bad as she remembers.
I love Pepper Bay, and all I can say is, it’s good to be back! A series in which each book can easily be read as standalones. It is one that would be perfect to read in order, I would think. I have dropped into the series myself and have now read something like four books.
Each book is such an easy read. Silver Blooms Flower Shop is no exception. I picked it up and was immediately there with Lexi, Bryce, and the other characters that I have met previously. Each one so well described so I am able to see them in my mind as I read. This book is mainly set in Sandly, a village close to Pepper Bay, but we do revisit Pepper Bay, too.
Told over dual timelines, the present and the past, on the form of flashbacks. We see Lexi and Bryce over their school years. Lexi, the target of bullies and Bryce standing by allowing it to happen. Then, the present day, Lexi is the author of erotic novels written under the pen name of Brice Silver. Bryce is a successful businessman and discovers Lexi’s pen name. Shall we say from there, sparks fly??
Silver Blooms Flower Shop has enough added spice to keep the pages turning, as well as the fun as the story unfolds. Yet another fabulous escapist read from K.T. Dady. I’m really looking forward to returning to Pepper Bay soon!
