I’m over the moon to be hosting a stop on the book tour for The Flight by Heather J.Fitt.many thanks to Heather J.Fitt for allowing me along and for the gifted copy of the book.

A young mother is trapped with a killer thirty thousand feet up, in this gripping mid-air murder mystery by the author of Open Your Eyes.
On a plane to Barbados, nurse Melissa sits with her young son, Theo. On the same flight, up in first class, are a bride- and groom-to-be, heading for their tropical wedding destination, accompanied by family and friends.
When two members of the wedding party die in mysterious circumstances, it becomes clear that a killer is on board. Trapped in the cabin thousands of feet above the Atlantic, tensions mount as accusations fly—and when little Theo seems to vanish into thin air, this bizarre flight becomes even more turbulent . . .
Will Melissa be able to use her medical knowledge to find her son and bring a cold-blooded killer to justice before it’s too late?
Another book from an author who has quickly moved into my go-to author list. That quick that this is only her second book! Her first one was superb, so when I got a copy of The Flight, I wondered if it would be as good as her first. Going in with high expectations always worries me, just in case I’m let down. I will say now, I worried for nothing.
Melissa and Theo her son are off too Barbados. Melissa is looking forward to a break, she just doesn’t expect things to go as wrong as they do during their flight. What do you do when you are on a plane, 30,000 feet in the air and people start dying?
I was absolutely glued to this book! I ended up taking it everywhere with me. Addictive wasn’t the word. Heather J. Fitt made me actually feel like I was locked in that place with Melissa and Theo. I felt as closed in as the characters. Her descriptions throughout were so vivid, they set the atmosphere for the story.
As her first book was, The Flight has been superbly researched. Every little detail was in place to set the scene and keep it such an absorbing read. I actually began to worry about the characters! To the point that I found myself almost panicking at certain points. This is due to such well developed characters, they are all so believable. None are perfect which I do like, it makes them more human, with flaws.
I have to say the twists and turns are all perfectly placed to add momentum to the story. It’s another excellent, fast paced story from Heather J. Fitt. I am so impatient to see what she writes next. I cannot recommend The Flight highly enough.
