Dave Sivers – In Ice @HeatherJFitt @DaveSivers #InIce #blogtour #SharonBTB

Hey all! I am happy to say I am bringing my review for In Ice by Dave Sivers to the blog. It is a day late, but apologies to Heather and Dave Sivers. Thanks to both Heather Fitt and Dave Sivers for the ARC of the book to take part.

In Ice: A terrifying, twisty, serial killer thriller.

Every action has a consequence…

As dark, gritty and chilling as it gets. Keep the lights on!’ – Liz Mistry

An anonymous call leads DI Nathan Quarrel and his team to a secluded house in a Hertfordshire village and a horrific discovery: three chest freezers containing the naked bodies of five women.

As the painstaking business of identifying the apparently unconnected victims gets underway, it becomes frighteningly clear that a sadistic serial killer has been at work, probably over a long period of time.

With no strong suspects and no leads, unmasking the killer takes on a new urgency. Because the discoveries at what the media is calling a ‘house of horrors’ may not stop the killer or even slow them down. Indeed, they may already have targeted their next victim.

What an introduction to Dave Sivers work! is my first time reading his books and, just, wow! From the prologue that had me gripped, right to the fabulous conclusion. I just couldn’t put this book down.

DI Nathan Quarrel is a character who captured my interest immediately. Skillfully developed and vividly drawn, he makes this story even more intriguing. His past just adds even more layers to this tense tale. From the moment he receives a phone call from work while setting off on a hike and he learns of an anonymous call stating there are bodies in a house. I was so curious and wanted to know everything about him.

As the story unfolds, Nathan realises this is not a simple case. Along with his team, they race against time, all aware that the killer is almost guaranteed to strike again. Alongside this investigation, he is also looking into his fathers murder when he was a child. Will he get to the bottom of both cases?

It was a chilling story that had me turning the pages at some speed. I was engrossed with the twists and turns. I have to say I couldn’t work it out, so it made for a tense, dark book that was teeming with suspense. Now, to add more of Dave Sivers books to my list! I so highly recommend In Ice.
