A book that is the third in the DI Emma Locke series. It can be read as a standalone easily, as I discovered! I didn’t realise I hadn’t read the first two until I was well over halfway into the book. Louise Mullins has always been an author whose books I have thoroughly enjoyed, and this one was no exception.
Told from multiple points of view and with a dual timeline too. I found this such an intriguing read. The blurb alone made me want to read it, and then as I started reading, it became almost an addiction.
It’s a fast paced story that does have multiple threads which all come together as it unfolds. The characters are well developed and believable too, even if they aren’t all likeable!
A book that had me reading past my bedtime just so I could find out how it all panned out. I am now going to have to read the first two books so I can enjoy these characters over again!
