Here I am, again! With Wicked Whispers At St Bride’s by Debbie Young. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources and Boldwood Books

Gemma Lamb is ready for an uneventful term at St Bride’s, she’s had enough of dastardly deeds and sinister strangers.
However, she’s barely back at school before:
Unlucky in love Oriana is sneaking around at odd hours
Handsome Joe is keeping secrets
Militant Mavis feels a scandal is brewing
It’s all a bit much, but when a stranger appears Gemma thinks she’s had enough. But this stranger isn’t so sinister, instead he looks rather too familiar. If Gemma can’t get him away from the school the whispers and scandal his presence could unleash may just close St Bride’s doors for good.
The third book in the St Bride’s series and I was happy to be returning to catch up with Gemma and the school. I did wonder what would be next for them all in this instalment.
I was again whisked away to the school life of everyone in St Bride’s and there are definitely a few mysteries that, once again, Gemma has to ‘attend to’! With Joe seemingly sneaking off with Oriana and another stranger coming to the school, telling her who he is and requesting her from her. Then there is the mysterious note that is left in her pigeonhole that causes plenty of drama for the staff . The eccentric and quirky
The mystery and mayhem of this story certainly had me in my element again. The quirky cast of teachers had me chuckling with their antics, just as the previous two books did. Debbie Young just seems to be on a roll with these books and I know there is a fourth on the way! I am patiently waiting for that one, sort of.
The perfect book to snuggle up with on these horrible wet and dark days. The intrigue of the story combined with the realistic and oh, so funny staff really do make for a read that helps you forget everything around you and carries you on the ‘St Bride’s crazy wave’! Just like watching a St Trinian’s film does. A great addition to the series.
