Helen Golden – For Richer, For Deader @rararesources #ForRicherForDeader #SharonBTB

I’m happy to say I’m part of the blog tour for For Richer, For Deadet by Helen Golden. Thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for the ARC and my invitation.

Is the Wedding Between Sir Hewitt Willoughby-Franklin’s Step-Daughter and Billionaire’s Son Off?

Rumours are that the recent death of Kelley Lindsell (29), the personal chef of tycoon Rudy (68) and  Sheri Trotman (65) at Sir Hewitt’s Fawstead Manor country estate in Fenshire, has spooked Sybil Bransgrove (36) so badly she’s considering cancelling her nuptials.

Meanwhile the bride and her mother, Lady Grace (61), are being supported by family friend Lady Beatrice (36), the Countess of Rossex, who, alongside her business partner Perry Juke, is currently managing the project to refurbish the Manor House and Lodge on the estate.

Not again! Now that Lady Grace has asked Lady Beatrice to liaise with the police during the investigation into Kelley’s death, she’ll have to cooperate with boorish Detective Chief Inspector Richard Fitzwilliam whether she likes it or not. Her only relief will be solving the murder with the help of her friends Perry and Simon and her dog Daisy to get rid of him faster.  But with so many wedding party guests staying on-site, any one of them could be the killer.

Can they find out who it is before Sybil calls off the wedding…

A cosy crime story that’s the second book in the Right Royal Cosy Investigation series. I wondered if this book would be as enjoyable as the first, Spruced Up For Murder.

I have decided, Lady Bea is not going to have a quiet life. She ends up back in the middle of a mystery. There has been threatening notes left attached to dead animals and she wants to investigate as well as bringing the police into it. The next issue is Lady Grace who received the notes is a mother of the bride to be… guests are due to begin arriving and is stressed beyond the limit. DCI Fitzwilliam wants Lady Bea to keep.out of the investigation. She insists she isn’t, and carries on regardless. As things get stranger and stranger this is a mystery that needs solving fast.

All the cast from book one are back and still as quirky and eccentric as I remember. These are all great characters and I felt like I was back in the middle of it all with old friends. I enjoyed catching up with the latest events and was intrigued with who was leaving the dead animals.

It is just as well written as the first and before I knew it I had read half the book. I was so entertained with all the comings and goings. I got so immersed with it all that the pages just flew by. I loved that I could have a chuckle at the antics of Lady Bea and Lady Grace never mind the other characters.

It is a fabulous cosy mystery that doesn’t just have humour. It has mystery and plenty of red herrings that had me guessing, incorrectly I should say! A series I do adore and one I shall keep up with.

Author Bio

Helen Golden

Hello. I’m Helen Golden. I write British contemporary cozy whodunnits with a hint of humour. I live in small village in Lincolnshire in the UK with my husband, my step-daughter, her two cats, our two dogs, sometimes my step-son, and our tortoise.

I used to work in senior management, but after my recent job came to a natural end I had the opportunity to follow my dreams and start writing. It’s very early in my life as an author, but so far I’m loving it.

It’s crazy busy at our house, so when I’m writing I retreat to our caravan (an impulsive lockdown purchase) which is mostly parked on our drive. When I really need total peace and quiet, I take it to a lovely site about 15 minutes away and hide there until my family runs out of food or clean clothes
