A Sue Moorcroft book is like settling down with a cosy blanket and A White Christmas On Winter Street feels just like that. A standalone book that is set in Middledip, a place I have been before in one of Sue Moorcroft’s other books. It was great to be back!
Another book that includes Sue Moorcrofts trademark community, friendships and love too. No other author does it quite like Sue Moorcroft. The icing on the cake for this one was…Christmas with everything that it brings. I love the Christmas decorating competition in particular.
Sky has moved to Middledip after a falling out with Freddy, her foster brother. She has bought a house to do up. She decides to make an effort and try to make friends, so decides to pitch in to help the street win the street decorating competition. She finds a friend in Daz, a man who wanted her house for a good cause, but luckily he let’s bygones be bygones and before Sky knows it he is helping out and they start getting closer.
There is nothing like a story set in the festive season to set me up for the nights getting darker and Christmas to Creep ever so closer. Sue Moorcroft has written the perfect story with characters you just want to hug and a romance that’s so heartwarming. I can understand why Sue Moorcroft is such a popular author. I never want to leave the characters behind when I finish any of her books. Another page turner!
